My first time...

to the Woodward Dream Cruise was yesterday!  I can't believe in all these years we have never been, but after going out to breakfast with Aaron, he thought we should take our new acquisition of a 'kinda' classic car and take a run down there!  I'm so glad we did as I really enjoyed it, we got a few call outs from radio stations and it was so cool!

I don't know what the definition of a classic car is, but our 1988 Mercedes 560SL seem to fit right in...I know Bob was smiling down from heaven as we drove his pride and joy down Woodward!  :)

Fun little trip down Woodward, now back in the garage for you!  Maybe next year I can get 'ol Dan the man to go, he's a classic too!!!  :)

Happy Birthday Mom Carmichael!!!

A quick trip last evening to Frankenmuth to celebrate Mom's BD with her and Dad! (long story on the short haircut on Dad Carmichael...Mom hates it and probably wouldn't appreciate me posting it...ha!)

We haven't been to Frankenmuth in years and were surprised at how much it has grown and the number of tourists there. Lots of folks out enjoying themselves on a beautiful Michigan summer evening!!! Wish I would have gotten pics of the town, the flowers alone were amazing!!!

Also Happy Birthday today to Dad Jeffrey!!! Wish I could take you to Frankenmuth to celebrate too!!! We'll have to settle for talking on the phone! :(

Miss you Dad!

Prince & Princess...

Mom and Dad are out shopping for a house, and we are playing princess!!  A surprise after nap time, we set up the castle, sleeping bag and chair for our little prince and princess!

PRESENTING:  Prince Peyton and Princess Willamina!!!!

Good thing Peytie still loves PINK - otherwise this could be a problem!  He was very happy with the pink flashlight - add ice cream and Barney and they were happy little royal beings!

Love you my prince and princess, SO MUCH!!!

We missed having the Schneiders with us though!  Next year, when they have a new house!!!

Spring has sprung!

Finally...spring is here in Michigan!  I hope!!!  Too cold and too wet this past week made waking up this morning to the beautiful sunshine a glorious thing!!!

I saw 10 baby ducks by the dock this morning, mama duck was so proud to show them off to me!  And the mama swan had a baby on her back last night, still sitting on her nest so more babies to come today!

Yes, true signs that spring is finally here!!!

Think I'll go out and enjoy this entire beautiful weekend (instead of all the things I should be doing inside!)

Happy Spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miami bound...

As we make our way back to Miami, two days at sea, we are reflecting back on the wonderful month [5 weeks] we have had!!! It has been totally awesome and we can't wait to get back and see everyone and share all of our stories! The ship has been great...but...as they say...

THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basseterre, St. Kitts, West Indies

Last and final stop, St. kitts! We decided to just walk and see what we could on this stop. First thing was a casino, yay for Dan, he will have somewhere to wait for me while I shop...

Bonus, free wifi! Great for looking at email, not so great for blogging...the wifi is just so slow it would not upload my blog posts...I'll have to wait to upload them when we are back in the states :( We found this to be an issue on board and in the ports, the wifi is very slow, so it was really only good for reading email...

So, I shopped for a bit, Dan played for a bit and then it was back on board...

Sad to be at our last port...we really like getting off the boat at the ports and seeing all the different islands...it sure is a different way of life and sure makes you appreciate what you have and the good 'ol USA!!! As I look around at all of these ports, I realize how much we take for granted, it really is quite humbling...

The Royal Wedding...

The ship is all a-buzz with royal wedding excitement! Well, to be honest, I'm sure it's mostly the women, as in my case, Dan could care less! Here is what they have prepared for us, there will be large screen TV's all around the ship!

Bridgetown, Barbados

Today we chose to go sailing on a catamaran in Barbados. It was a snorkeling beach adventure as well. This was a six hour excursion and it was awesome!

They took us to a snorkeling area that has sea turtles and we had the most awesome experience!!! I cannot tell you how cool this was!

By this time we had been in the water for some time and I hadn't seen Dan in a while...I was looking for him and two things came to mind...first of all Titanic, when they were all in the water (yes, at least these were live bodies!) and the second was 'where's Waldo?', geez, looking at a bunch of heads with snorkels and masks, none of which looked familiar! Gave up and went back to the turtles!

They also took us to a beach that was right where Tiger Woods was married....before he messed that up! Very cool looking place, very expensive, and he rented the entire place for his wedding...

They served us a wonderful meal on board...I was very impressed since the crew were all men, they did a great job!!

The food was specific to what is commonly eaten on the island...

It was a great day....a great time!
