Birmingham Shopping Day!

Last Saturday, Sarah, Willa and I went to the Birmingham Street Sale. All of the stores participated with tents in the streets and lots of good stuff on sale!  

We found a few things we couldn't live without...ask Sarah about the 'grass chandelier' that we had to fit in my car!!

Willa enjoyed herself, she held my water for me, that kept her entertained for a while!

Rustica Pizza-makes it's debut at the Carmichael's!

I finally made the Rustica Pizza tonight!!  It was REALLY good!  This would be a fun thing to do with friends (Kelley) or as an appetizer.  

Dan thought it was a little dry and could use some sauce...I didn't put any pizza sauce on it.  I liked it like this, but will add some sauce next time to try that too.  Or, have some sauce available for dipping would be good too!  Plus, you can change the toppings and give it a totally different taste...I'm thinking pineapple and feta next time...hmmmm...

Sarah was over today and took home my other package of pizza crust...she is making it tonight too, so we'll see how they like it!  

Willa spends the night!

Willa came over this weekend and spent the night while James & Sarah went to a Kid Rock concert.  We had to do some major shopping before she came as she hadn't spent the night in a while.

We bought lots of new toys, I had to put some of them away cuz she was quickly in toy overload!

We bought a new high chair so that she could eat like a big girl...we got the kind that attaches to a chair...then we can store it easier when she's not here.  Worked out really well!

Grampa took her for a walk outside, they were checking out the yard and the flowers!

Then she slept from 8P to 7A, not a peep out of her.  Grampa had her up and in our bed before she even made a peep, he's was watching her...waiting for her to wake up!  The minute she turned over and looked at him he wisked her out of the crib!  Then she came in our bed and tried to rip up his newspaper before he could even read it - she LOVES paper!!

What a joy!

Well, I went from having nothing to blog to having lots to blog...so I'll try to spread it over several days.  We were out of pocket for a while getting ready for and doing the Ann Arbor Art Fair...I'm happy to say it's over and it was another successful year!  Hot as...well you know.  

I think I will start with posting a video of Willa clapping...it's just so cute!  I took this earlier this week and I see you are all asking for it on Sarah's blog.  Of course Grammy has one in the wings, so here it is!

First Art Fair!!

Willa enjoyed some time at the Plymouth Art Fair today!  It was her Art Fair debut!  Even though it was hot and sticky, she had a good time.  She was waving to everyone and couldn't figure out why there were big dogs there that looked nothing like Lucy and Fletcher.  She sure is a happy baby, she was giving everyone big smiles!!

Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 4th of July everyone!!  I can hear the boats out on Lake Huntoon already, we have a beautiful day here...going into a beautiful weekend!!  The rains have ended for a while, so we are all ready to enjoy!!  

Last night we had a little pre-4th golf game.  I have to admit, this is the first time I've ever taken my camera on the golf course!  We were all evaluating ourselves when we got these on the computer last night, kinda funny!  Now they will probably want me to bring my camera every time :-)    My game has definitely gotten better this year, but all in all, I still suck!

Dan and Aaron take it much more seriously than I do...last night was a challenge to keep my mouth shut and stop moving while they were taking their shots...I'm usually better than that, but I was all wound up last night...go figure.  Must be the approaching holiday weekend and no work for 3 days that did it!!
