There is nothing like northern Michigan for a quick weekend getaway! Aaron and Jenny left for the Pfirrmann's cabin on Thursday, Dan and I could only get away for a day, so we were up early Saturday morning and headed north! Ohhhhh it felt so good to get out of the city and onto the country roads! We packed a bunch of activity into one day...it's always great to be at the Pfirrmann's and enjoy their hospitality and spend some time with the kids!!

The kids were having a blast...they can't get enough of the water! The cute little redhead is Lindsay - Derrick is standing - also Dillan and Caira - friends from the cabin next door and long time friends of Pfirrmanns.
Griffin - what a little doll! Watch out Willa, they are setting you two up already!! AND, he is just as sweet as he looks!!
Dan grilling...I think he was eating them as he grilled, the water makes you so hungry!
Trying out the neighbors toys...geez, just what we needed, now there's another toy on my boys wishlist!!
And Dan, I guess this is a touchdown for another great day!
I missed pics on the boat and at the sandbar...took my little camera on the boat to keep my big one safe back at the cabin and it's battery was dead when we got out there...darn!

Looks like a fun time up north!!! Hopefully that took a little of the disappointment out of the U of M loss (what was that, anyway??). I'm pretty sure that game was NOT why U. Dan was doing the touchdown hands. ;o)
I don't know about Aaron putting Jenny on the front of that thing, though... I'm sure he was careful, but yikes!!! :o) thx for the pics!
Yah, we listened to the U of M game on the boat...very disappointing! U. Dan had to drown his sorrows!! (at least that was his excuse!)
looks like so much fun! It's great to see the GREEEEN trees and the lake. The last fling before the fall sets in....great way to celebrate!
YAY for daytrips! Holy smokes - Derrick is HUGE! i can't believe that! And aaron is crazy on that thing - he needs to make a video and post it on youtube. AND tell him to be careful with Jenny - she's too nice! :)
We went for a day to Sedona on Sunday and I completely forgot my camera! I was so mad - but i figure it's another reason to go back :)
